Carl Smith

Captain Carl Smith is licensed as Master of Steam and Motor Vessels of Any Gross Tonnage Upon Oceans, First Class Pilot, 200 Ton Auxiliary Sail, Offshore Installation Manager, and Dynamic Postioning Operator. He served 24 years in the Coast Guard, where he did drug interdiction, law enforcement and search and rescue work. He was one of only a few who had a Master License while on active duty. Since then he has worked as a Military Sealift Command training team leader, and then worked in oil field construction and drilling operations around the world. Carl has served as an expert witness.
