Any applicant who has successfully completion of your Master 100 Tons/Mate 200 Tons (MIDATL-680) course and who presents your Certificate of Training within one year of the completion of training, will satisfy the examination requirements of 46 CFR 11.205(f) for original issuance, 46 CFR 10. 227(d)(8)(i)(C) for renewal, and 46 CFR 10.227(g) for reissuance, of a merchant marine endorsement as a Mate of Vessels of not more than 200 gross tons upon Near Coastal, or Great Lakes & Inland Waters OR the examination requirements of 46 CFR 11.205(f) for original issue, 46 CFR 10.227 (d)(8)(i)(B) for renewal, and 46 CFR 10.227(g) for reissuance, of a merchant mariner endorsement as Master of Mate of not more than 100 gross tons Upon Near Coastal, or Great Lakes & Inland Waters, OR, Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUPV) Upon near Coastal, or Great Lakes & Inland or Inland Waters. The course completion certificate issued upon successful completion of this course is valid for one application which results in the issuance of an enforsement(s) and may not be used for further applications transactions.
100 Ton Captain's License classes include training on: navigation, tidal calculations, international and inland rules of the road, coastal pilotage, meteorology, anchoring and mooring, marlinespike, docking and undocking, buoyage systems, safety, voyage and passage planning, general ship knowledge regulations, stability and vessel construction, seamanship This course is USCG-approved, and no further testing is required by the United States Coast Guard. You will take written final exams administered at the end of the program. They include a selection of the topics covered in the course.
