Engine-room Resource Management is a 1 week classroom and simulator-based course.  It addresses issues pertinent to leadership, motivation, team dynamics, emergency and casualty responses in an engine-room environment.  Attention is given to maximizing human resources and value of Situational Awareness. 

Any applicant who has successfully completed your Engine Room Resource Management (Operational Level) (MARUNI-188) course will satisfy the following training requirements of the STCW Code: Section A-VIII/2 Parts 3-2 and 4-2; Table A-III/1 ; AND the following assessments of NVIC 09-04 for Maintaining a Safe Engineering Watch: OICEW-4-1B, OICEW-4-1C, and OICEW-4-2A.

Any approved instructor for this course is authorized to sign-off on students' Control Sheets for these assessments.

Applicants who have successfully completed your course need not present completed "Control Sheets" for these assessments in application for STCW certification.
